Interval training

Great ride yesterday out on what I would call my interval training route, out over the back of Witney. Although I’ve been on nights I found I had a bit of excess energy yesterday so decided on a short 1 hour blast.
Felt really good and strong working at 4 minutes flat out or at near race pace followed by 6 minutes steady not allowing my pulse to drop below my optimal fat burn which is about 140bpm.
Capped it all off with a 25 minute run on the treadmill which I’ve not done for a good year so a nice steady pace was in order to save damaging the old joints prior to the Oxfordshire classic this Sunday, a 60 mile road bike ride.
