Spring is upon us

Lot’s of great riding this month easily completing the #March100 and looking forward to some more challenges using dailymile a great site for keeping motivated and logging routes, times, and making new buddies.

Used the plantronics 903+ headset to good effect this month seems to work well enough although a few niggles when placed behind you in a pocket so I’ve overcome this by wearing a bum bag around at the front of me, job done. Great sound and easy to use with solid battery life.

Lot’s of routes to add at the end of the month so a summary is probably better on the lesser training routes and hopefully a bit of description on the longer rides.

Using the Muvi camera on every ride now, just recording everything maybe if something interesting ever happens I will post it, so beware all you bad drivers your being filmed, evidence!!

March Cycling Miles

A few routes to add to the #march100, weather starting to improve a bit which is about time, had enough of the cold now thanks.

Started using my Muvi camera helmet mounted on all my routes now so will post the odd video that looks slightly interesting, I know, there’s nothing more boring than a fat bloke out of breath trying to get up a hill so will post crashes and arseholes who try and cut me up.

Also taken delivery of a plantronics bluetooth headset that links to my iphone, so far very useful , great sound and easy to operate with plenty of battery life, fully charged about 7 hours. One of my major bug bears was the iphone headphones constantly popping out of my ears every time I glanced over my shoulder.

Bonus is you can control your iphone and make and receive calls which is handy.

Mud & Slop

A few rides to add for the month of Feb to bring me up to the 105 miles toward the #Feb100 challenge.

18th Feb: ride was a pure nightmare as I was full of a virus or just sheer tiredness, felt very poor and had to turn back after 5 miles so have written that one off.

23rd Feb: was a ride that was only 10 miles but with all the wheel spinning was probably about 15 miles, unbelievably sloppy tracks pretty much un rideable with me pushing the bike for most of it.

24th Feb: Great ride on the road bike and real nice not to be covered in crap, nice and hilly but cold as hell as usual, getting a bit sick of winter now.

Having just purchased my Veho Muvi camera I have used it on a couple of routes so far and picture quality for such a tiny gadget is spot on, managed to find some freeware video editing software off snapfiles and can now chop and crop parts of the video as a two hour video of me on a bike would send any bugger to sleep.

Bonus is, I can now record my whole ride so any arseholes who try and cut me up will be filmed for posterity
